Woods Bagot is a global studio specialising in architecture, design and consulting across three key sectors: Lifestyle, Workplace and Science & Education.
Our multi-disciplinary global team is made up of more than 1000 people operating across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and North America, all collaborating as one international studio. Each of these dynamic studios is staffed with designers and specialists in the areas of architecture, urban design, consulting, interior design, masterplanning and design management, and have a clear understanding of the cultural and regional issues that our clients encounter.
Sustainability is an integral component of our strategy as we constantly strive to monitor and, ultimately, limit our impact on the environment, both as a business and as individuals. As a certified climate-neutral practice, we believe it is possible to design sustainable buildings that are commercially viable and we will continue to work with our clients to make this standard practice, rather than the exception.
Our commitment to place-making as a key design driver enables our teams to make outstanding contributions to the built environment. It is the pursuit of excellence which acts as the catalyst for our international design studios; the primary ethos of our practice is to create designs of lasting value and quality.
Our global profile is defined by quality and innovation, reflecting the talent, experience and energy of our studios.
Selected works:

Trafalgar Hilton
London
The Trafalgar is Hilton’s luxury lifestyle hotel and a move away from the traditional business traveller formula.
With a commanding position on the corner of Trafalgar Square, it’s a place where old meets new. In conjunction with Argent design, Woods Bagot retained the listed facade and built the guest rooms to exact standards all with unique features.

Courthouse Doubletree
Great Marlborough St, London
The site of the oldest courtroom in London and the setting for such famous names as Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, Brian Jones (of the Rolling Stones) and Louis Napoleon of France, has become an elegant five star boutique hotel and restaurant.
Woods Bagot provided architectural and interior design and project management services for the conversion of this old magistrate’s courtroom into the deluxe 120-room Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton in London.
Carefully restored to retain many original features and a Grade II listed building, the hotel still features original touches.

Grosvenor House
London
This is a major redevelopment of the famous 1930’s Grosvenor House building which fronts Park Lane and overlooks Hyde Park.
The original building was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and the project is in a historic conservation area. The new proposal consists of major adaptive re-use of the internal courtyard, the layout of over 120 suites and the integration of major public areas to create London’s premium apart-hotel.
The project consists of a wide variety of apartment sizes from studios through to penthouse suites and provides for a 6-star luxury that is unprecedented in London.

Rolls House
London
Woods Bagot obtained planning consent on behalf of Delancey for the redevelopment of Rolls and Arnold Houses and No 8 Breams Buildings to create 37,000m² of new office accommodation over nine floors. The building is located in the Chancery Lane Conservation area and opposite the Grade II* Listed Public Records Office.
The new building employs a contemporary architectural treatment sympathetic to its surroundings, whilst still achieving a thoroughly modern office building providing plenty of natural light and designed to the latest BCO guidelines.

Piccadilly Central Tower
Manchester
A 60 storey, GBP£200 million tower complex in Manchester will breathe new life into the city, following the scheme’s approval by Manchester City Council.
At 188 metres tall, the development will be the United Kingdom's tallest residential building. The tower and two adjoining blocks will include 710 apartments, a 220 room five-star international hotel and 80,000 square feet of retail space, restaurants and bars.
The tower is the centrepiece of a five-acre urban regeneration project that includes plazas and public spaces, historic canal frontage, a nine-metre grand stair and a bridge link to Manchester’s Piccadilly Station. Woods Bagot will provide complete urban design and architectural design services for the developer Ballymore/Merepark.

Liverpool Central Village
Liverpool

The scheme includes two towers of 20 storeys and 25 storeys, a four-star hotel, 440 flats, leisure and retail facilities, and a new public square.

Watson Hotel
Liverpool
Rejuvenating the 70,000 sq ft Grade II Listed Watson building the annex of the historic Lewis’s department store in the heart of Liverpool will be refurbished and extended onto the site of the former Rapid Hardware Shop. By retaining its original features, making full use of the existing seven floors and adding an additional two storeys a 170,000 sq ft, 180 key, four star-plus hotel will be created. The existing basement will provide underground parking for 16 cars.

Eversheds
London
International law firm Eversheds has set Woods Bagot the challenge of creating a leading edge law firm to attract and retain the best fee earners in London. The terms ‘leading edge’ and ‘law firm’ rarely go hand in hand, but Woods Bagot is looking forward to introducing the legal market to high-end style finance floors, luxurious business lounges, service driven support facilities and lifestyle inspired team spaces.
The new 15,000m2 London headquarters will act as an international hub for its regional offices, with a large number of regional lawyers visiting on a daily basis. To accommodate this, there is a requirement for 4,000m2 of meeting, dining and training suites as well as deal rooms and mediation suites for opposing council.
